Veteran Journalist with 35 Years of Global Conflict Reporting.

With over 35 years in journalism, I’ve journeyed through agency, regional, and national newspapers, as well as television. For over 25 years, I’ve been on the frontline as a foreign correspondent, witnessing conflicts from Lebanon to Afghanistan and Bosnia.

As the Middle East correspondent for TV-am, ITN, Channel 4 News, and ABC News, I’ve also contributed to BBC and CNN. Honoured with awards like RTS Television Reporter of the Year, I carry the scars of Srebrenica, where I was seriously wounded.

Sri Lanka & Tamil Tigers

Rare footage of the Sri Lankan army in combat against the Tamil Tigers showing intense fighting and injuries with compelling interviews about the hardship of war. Also extensive video on the side of the Tamil Tigers showing funerals and training and interviews of fighters and political leaders.

Srebrenica 1993

18 hours of exclusive video images taken in March/April 1993 showing the dramatic extent of ethnic cleansing, death and starvation in dramatic events that led to UN protection. 18 hours of gripping material, much of which has never been aired.

Libya and the fall of Sirte

The last battles before the capture and killing of Qadaffi. Strong fighting images, capture of prisoners, wounded fighters and interviews.

Kurdish Workers Party

Short for the Kurdish Workers Party, which has fought for independence from Turkey since 1921. Exclusive images from a secret training camp in the Middle East showing young fighters including a 14 year old boy going through final training before combat. Strong interviews.

Myanmar Military Junta

The Military Junta’s brutal crackdown on the Buddhist monk led street protests which led to killing and th9usands of arrests. Images show the security forces attacking monks and demonstrators. Interviews with local people. Also footage of the Siege of Sleeping Dog hill in 1992 where the Karen rebels were fighting government forces.

Kosovo Liberation Army

The frontlines of the Kosovo Liberation Army’s fight against Serbia were closed to many. We got there and have hours of exclusive footage of men training and preparing to fight, discussing why they left the safety of Europe to fight for their homeland.

Bosnia 1992 – 1995

An extensive archive of more than 1000 hours of material from 1992-1995 with images and interviews of politicians, military and ordinary people which paints a complete picture of one the bloodiest conflicts in Europe in the 20th century.

Somalia 92 -94

Video shot in February 1992 when the country was gripped by famine and a brutal civil war and most aid agencies were pulling out. This shows the extent of the suffering with harrowing shots of death, Injury, starvation and fighting. Also strong video taken later in 1994 during the US presence.

War in Afghanistan in 1992

Exclusive video of the Mujahadeen and Kabul as they overthrew the Russian backed government of Najibullah in 1992, strong pictures of fighting, injury and suffering. Much that has not been seen before.
